Olive as cosmetic ingredient (Olea europaea)

The olive has been used for centuries in cosmetics and is one of the first compounds ever used in skin care products in the antique world, and has its lipid nature is very the same as that of the human skin, therefore there are great affinity between the two.

• We use olive as one of the ingredients of our pure natural Olinat Cream.

The olive trees are organically grown from which the fruit is used.

It is great to nourish dry skin and to help maintain skin suppleness while soothing the skin and protecting it from the affects of the sun and water and other external aggressors.

Olive is great to improve skin feel and to increase skin compliance while reducing irritation but at the same time increasing skin hydration and moisture.

Even with all of these positive factors it does not cause the skin to feel greasy, oily or tacky and is easily absorbed.

It is 100% naturally derived and is PEG free and creates a silky skin feel. At the same time it increases elasticity while fighting pollution and protecting from the environment, helping to prevent wrinkles and acting as an antioxidant.

The wax extracted from olives are also very high in natural squalene – this highly prized ingredient – squalene - is normally obtained from sharks – but here olives give us a botanical alternative, thereby eliminating the need to harvest this compound from sharks.
